Harbin is the ice and snow city of China

Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province in northeastern China, is widely known as China's "Ice City" (冰城).

Its freezing Siberian winds bring long, harsh winter where temperatures regularly drop below -20 Celsius, creating perfect conditions for world-renowned winter wonderlands.

It starts to be extremely cold from December. Snow falls in every 2 or 3 days

I wish I could see snow again. Since I can’t see it now, I decided to post some pictures of the snow back in 2019.

These pictures were taken in random places around Harbin and during a school trip to a nearby city. That trip was an incredible and unforgettable experience for me. There was heavy snow during our trip, and everything looked amazing in white. I could see cornfields covered in snow—it looked just like a fairyland.

Actually, I regret that I didn't visit the frozen lake or the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival (also known as the Winter Festival). It is currently the largest ice and snow festival in the world. Why didn't I go when I had the chance? If I ever get the chance to visit Harbin again, I will definitely visit the frozen lake and the Winter Festival!

But I heard that, it’s so cold to go there.

It makes me scare while thinking about it because I’m not sure if my thin body can handle the coldness.

I don’t think I have much to write in today's post because I only planned to share some snow pictures from my school trip.

Still, I hope my life experiences can encourage you to do what you love and never give up on your dreams. One of my dreams was to see snow, and I’ve now fulfilled that dream!

To be honest, I loved winter, but because it was so cold there, I remember really wanting to fly back home that year. Living in extreme cold every day is very difficult—it felt like I was living inside a fridge! Sometimes, it was even freezing in my hotel.
